Myth #3: Buyers’ brokers actually work for the seller.
Reality: Try as we might, for as much as we can say that there are plenty of us with all the integrity, ethical standards and blah-di-blah that one could hope for, the truth of the matter is we do ultimately get paid by the seller.
Does this mean we work for them? No. We work for you and only you. In fact, we have a fiduciary responsibility to you and your interests as outlined in the agency disclosure form. That said, we understand that not everyone either believes that this is true or wants any shadow of a doubt to linger in their minds. Some would rather buy this unconditional security by paying out of pocket for the guarantee. For those of you would like to pay out of pocket, we’re happy to continue the conversation.
